Norwegian physician and specialist in clinical pharmacology Berit Nordstrand is devoted to studying the relationship between food and health. More than twenty years ago, when a young mother and recent medical school graduate, Berit faced numerous health challenges with her young son including epilepsy and ADHD and sought out ways to use food to help her son. Easy to Implement Habits to Health

I happened to see the book written up in The Times & Sunday Times and became intrigued just reading the short article and wanted more. I've read many diet books, but this one came along at just the right time and is encouraging and simple. Most diet books become so bogged down in the weeds of explaining every detail of the way diets work that I always feel that I need to be either a clinician or an insomniac to keep reading. Dr. Nordstrand sets out 12 goals over a 12 week period and focuses on developing healthy habits. I have spent a year listening to books about the power of habit and just didn't know where to start so finding this book at this time was a godsend.
I read the whole book in one sitting and have already incorporated several of the weekly habits in my daily routine the first week being cutting out sugars, including artificial sweeteners... something I have wanted to do for years. I'm 6 days into the first week, have lost a healthy 2 pounds and am convinced that this program will save my health as I had been creeping toward Metabolic Syndrome and diabetes and, without a mindful approach to eating, my health was on a downward trajectory.
The author is an inspiration... a doctor in her 50s with 6 children who looks 30. If someone is looking for a transforming program, written in an easy to follow style and aimed at a lifetime of health, look no further.
