Los amantes de San Telmo cuenta la historia de Vittorio, militante anarquista hijo de inmigrantes italianos, un joven idealista decidido a pelear por mejorar las condiciones paupérrimas de los inmigrantes en una ciudad en pleno crecimiento. Pedro, por el contrario, proviene de una familia adinerada de la oligarquía porteña pero, para su desgracia, es confinado y escondido, ya que padece enanismo. Sayén, por su parte, es una hermosa indígena sobreviviente de la Campaña del desierto de Roca, que expulsada de su tierra llega a Buenos Aires en busca de una nueva vida. Entre los tres le dan forma a esta original y atrevida historia de amor en la que se cruzan los destinos de estos jóvenes con los acontecimientos históricos que dejaron sus huellas en nuestro país. El hermoso barrio de San Telmo, en el sur porteño, es el escenario de la nueva y esperada novela de Graciela Ramos, autora de Lágrimas de la Revolución y La Capitana.
